Casgliadau Arlein

Un o saith (MS 1685/1-8) Llyfr Ateb Amgueddfa Werin Cymru, 1970-1972, oddi wrth John Gareth Davies, Rhydowen, Llandysul, yn cynnwys nodiadau manwl ar briod-ddulliau godre sir Aberteifi a glywodd gan ei fam a'i fodryb. Anfonwyd Llyfrau Ateb gan Amgueddfa Werin Cymru at unigolion ar draws Cymru er mwyn casglu a chofnodi gwybodaeth am agweddau o ddiwylliant gwerin yn eu hardaloedd yn cynnwys amaeth, crefftau, bwyd, arferion a thafodiaith. Mae’r ymatebion wedi eu hysgrifennu â llaw yn y llyfrau. Roedd y Llyfrau Ateb yn ddilyniant i’r holiaduron a anfonwyd ym 1937.

One of seven (MS 1685/1-8) Welsh Folk Museum Answer books received from John Gareth Davies, Rhydowen, Llandysul, 1970-1972 on recollections from the Cardiganshire area as told to him by his mother and aunt. Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937
