Am descended from the Rev Dr John Emlyn Jones through his eldest son, Thomas Emlyn Jones. John Emlyn Jones was born in Newcastle Emlyn. He died in Ebbw Vale where there is a street named after him and a memorial. "Bedd y dyn tylawd" (The pauper's grave) is a favourite poem. More information on John Emlyn Jones can be found at : -
