Thank you very much for your enquiry. Our file on Furse's Dauntless has an excerpt of a letter from the painting's first owner, Arthur Thomas Williams. What it says will be of interest to you: the painting is of 'the most typical Hound of the Llanharan Foxhounds, for inclusion in [Furse's] picture of John Blandy-Jenkins which was presented to the latter by a number of subscribers at the Meet of the Glamorganshire Hounds at Llanharan House November 1896. The original picture was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1897.' I hope this gives you a lead for further research into your painting!

We have a picture with a signature of Charles Wellington Furse . With a man in Hunting pink sitting on a horse with a lot of dogs around him.
One the left down corner is a dog very similar to your one AN, NMW A 3932
