I just thought that that I would inform you that I am displaying " Phaeton" at the Workers Gallery.
Ynyshir, for three weeks. I have made an informed mention in it's relationship to the NMW.
Another two sculptures are included relative to the Assyrian era. 850 bc. I am informing
The British Museum of same. No interest in selling of course, but the interest of a pensioner
keen to be busy.. My motto is "If you rest you rust".
My thanks once more for the privilege of recreating.
Hope you approve and enjoy.
Kind regards
Gareth
No problem Gareth, thanks for letting us know about your exciting project!
All the best

Hi there Gareth - congratulations on having your work displayed in a gallery, a great accomplishment.
As far as I know, there would be no copyright limitations on displaying your work - we are very glad to know that you have been inspired by the collection at National Museum Cardiff. I will check in with the art department to make sure, if you'd like.
Good luck with the show,
Sara

Hi Sara.
I have had a request to exhibit the recent "Phaeton" woodcarving which you are aware of, at a local art Gallery. "The Workers Gallery" in the Rhondda.
The carving will be listed as "not for sale"
The Gallery will open three days a week until 23 December, starting Friday 30th October.
I will be mentioning that the original artist's work can be seen at the National Museum and the story relating to the piece.
I do not think that there are any copyright infringement rules relating to the sculpture, but could you kindly confirm this will be the case.
I would appreciate your help and hope it is not too inconvenient.
Many thanks
Gareth Milliner
Thanks for your attention. Yes, it will be interesting to see their
comments and maybe some healthy critique.
I'm grateful for your efforts
Kind regards
Gareth
Hi Gareth - just wanted to assure you that your photos have arrived safely.
Thanks so much for sharing your creation with us! Well done. I will make sure the Art Department get to see it.
I worked with carpenter Ray Smith many years ago, while he was making the Rood Screen for St Teilo's Church at St Fagans - it was amazing to see how much work and skill went into creating wood carvings. The marbling you have used also reminds me of my colleagues' work painting the interior of Oakdale Institute, which was done with feathers!
All the best - great to know our collection, and the work of this fantastic artist, continues to inspire.
Best,
Sara

Your suggestions are very assuring, would be a shame if my attempt is marred by someone else's' mistake.
Be gentle with me, hopefully I can eventually provide some quality.
Out of interest I'm getting some excellent vibes from professionals on facebook.(For that's worth). Think they have had better "pics"
Thanks Sara, you are so nice to converse with. You have an endearing attitude.
My Kindest regards
Gareth
