One of the UK’s leading wealth management companies, Brewin Dolphin, have confirmed they will continue to sponsor Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales’ Patrons scheme for another two years until 2021.

Bridging arts and business, Brewin Dolphin have been funding the running of Amgueddfa Cymru’s Patrons Scheme, which has a membership of over 150 people, since 2016.

Income provided by the Patrons supports the core work of Amgueddfa Cymru. This much valued income helps to fund a wide range of activities and acquisitions across all seven sites and helps to secure a sustainable financial future for the Museum.

The new two-year deal with Brewin Dolphin will allow that important relationship between the Museum and its Patrons to continue and grow.

Richard Kelly, Senior Investment Manager, Brewin Dolphin Cardiff, said:

“We are delighted to be able to renew our sponsorship of the Patrons scheme and to continue to support the National Museum of Wales. Over the last three years, our staff and clients have been able to experience the varied collections and exhibitions at the museum, and by renewing our sponsorship, we plan to further develop our support for the museum. We look forward to sharing in the continued growth and success of Amgueddfa Cymru and to promote its good work to our clients.”

Richard Nicholls, Development Director, Amgueddfa Cymru added:

“We feel incredibly fortunate to have such generous sponsorship once again from Brewin Dolphin.

“It has also been wonderful to welcome Brewin Dolphin to our museums over the last three years where they have had the opportunity to learn about our collections, enjoy our events and members of the workforce have been enjoying volunteering at the Art Fund Museum of the Year for 2019, St Fagans National Museum of History.”

Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales is a family of seven museums and a collections centre, which are all free to enter thanks to the support of the Welsh Government. Together, it is home to the nation’s art, history, heritage and science collections, which will continue to grow so that they can be used and enjoyed by both present and future generations.

One of its museums, St Fagans National Museum of History which explores the history and culture of Wales, won Art Fund Museum of the Year 2019.

As a registered charity, Amgueddfa Cymru is grateful for all support. The events and exhibitions programme is supported by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.
