Diddordebau Ymchwil
Malacoleg (astudio molysgiaid) yn seiliedig ar gasgliadau cregyn, anatomegol a DNA/meinweoedd yr Amgueddfa, o Gymru drefol a gwledig i goedwigoedd glaw trofannol. Ymchwil cyfredol yn canolbwyntio ar: 1) newidiadau ddoe a heddiw i falwod a gwlithod Prydain, a’u cadwraeth; 2) tacsonomeg alffa a biodaearyddiaeth yn nwyrain Affrica, yn enwedig ‘malwod hela’ cigysol (Streptaxidae). Mae canfyddiadau wedi’u defnyddio i greu canllawiau maes, canfod rhywogaethau goresgynnol a phlâu planhigion, ail-greu amgylcheddau cynhanesyddol, cadwraeth rhywogaethau prin, a pharasitioleg. Caiff canlyniadau eu rhannu trwy sgyrsiau, digwyddiadau, addysgu, cyfryngau cymdeithasol a chyfryngau traddodiadol, gwyddoniaeth dinasyddion, arddangosfeydd a chyhoeddiadau. Mae gwaith contract yn cynnwys arolygon o rywogaethau prin neu safleoedd bregus, gweminarau, archaeoleg, ac asesiadau Rhestr Goch IUCN.
