Barlow rail
Barlow rail discovered in and extracted from the end wall of 'Cae Jack Cottage', in Lydart, where they had been used as joists to support the upper half of the wall above an opening made to communicate with an extension built in the middle of the 19th century. This type of rail was used on the Ross-on Wye to Hereford line with the probability that it was used on the line to Monmouth via Mitchel Troy which runs 3 miles away from Cae Jack.
