Built 1912 as FRANKFURT by Bremer Vulkan (Vegesack), Bremen, for Argo Dampfschiffahrts Gesellschaft, Bremen, managed by Richard Adler & Sohne. 1919 – Sold to Deutsche Levante Linie AG (Atlas), Hamburg, and renamed CAVALLA. 1920 – Operated by the Hamburg-Amerika Line (HAPAG), Hamburg (same name). 1923 – Operated by Roland Lines, Bremen, managed by Globus Reederie (same name). 1925 – Operated by Norddeuscher Lloyd (NDL), Bremen, (same name). 1935 – Returned to Deutsche Levante Lines AG (Atlas), Hamburg. 1939 – Sold to Auguste Bolten, Hamburg, and renamed FALKENBURG, managed by Wilhelm Millers Nachfolger, Hamburg. She was torpedoed by Allied forces in 1945, and sank off Christiansand. 1945 – Allocated to the Dutch Government, she was raised and repaired, and renamed JURI 1947 – Sold to A. Jurgenthal, Estonia, but retained her name. She hit a stray mine on 26th September 1949 and sank. (Tony Allen’s Wrecksite)
