Plate, soft-paste porcelain; standing on a foot rim curving into flared spreading sides; painted with set pattern 194, - a Japan style shaped border of underglaze blue with gilt scrolls, interspersed with green and iron red lambrequins; inner border of iron red and gilt stylised orchids with small green leaves, on a white ground; gilt circular band in the centre, and gilt lip.
