Sucrier, cover, and stand
Sucrier, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded curving sides moulded with raised trellis designs with flowering plants enclosing panels left plain, to either side of the body twin vertical loop handles with foliate moulding and raised thumb-spurs, round domed cover the sides of which are moulded with raised trellis designs with flowering plants enclosing panels left plain, to the top of the cover a finial modelled in the form of a flower head with leaf, stem and bud; the plain panels to either side of the sucrier and the top of the cover finely painted in polychrome enamels with groups of game birds, a yellow ear of corn to the interior bottom of the sucrier, around the exterior upper body of the sucrier and the rim of the cover are scale pattern borders in puce, gilt edges to the lip-rim of the sucrier and the rim of the cover, the handles picked out in brown and green, the finial picked out in red, yellow and green. The sucrier broken and repaired, the tips of the outer petals of the flower head finial broken off. Stand, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, curving sides, the sides of the well moulded with raised trellis deisgns with flowering plants enclosing panels left plain; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the plain panels to either side of the well groups of game birds, two insects to the other sides of the well, a spray of flowers to the centre of the well, around the upper sides of the well a scale pattern border in puce, gilt lines around the edge of the well and the edge of the rim.
