Casgliadau Arlein

Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top, the flange partially obscured by the frame; the upperside of the lid apparently hand-painted in puce, brown and green with an untitled river scene showing a seated figure fishing in a river with a wooden shed on one bank, and a tower and high wall on the other, there is no border around the scene. The glaze speckled with brown. The pot-lid mounted for display in a close-fitting circular wooden frame painted black.
