Early Bronze Age pottery collared urn
Thick walled vessel of quite hard, coarse fabric containing moderate crushed rock (up to 6mm) and sparse grog (1-3mm) inclusions. Buff external surface, grey/brown internal surface and dark grey core. Heavy collar decorated with four horizontal rows of oblique incised lines forming a herringbone motif, a small internal bevel is decorated with short oblique incised lines. Internally, towards the rim a burnt residue survives.
