Jug and cover
Jug, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a spreading slightly waisted foot-rim, pear-shaped body with cylindrical neck, beak spout with foliate-moulding to the underside, scrolled wish-bone handle with foliate-moulding to the shoulder and moulded scales along its length, round domed cover with a pine cone finial to the top; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to either side of the exterior body of the jug a riverside landscape wirh figures, boats and round towered buildings, the landscapes enclosed by rococo borders in blue and gilt, two similar smaller landscapes enclosed by similar borders to either side of the top of the cover, around the rest of the exterior sides of the jug and the top of the cover scattered sprigs of miniature flowers, gilt lines around the lip-rim of the jug, the rim of the cover and the base of the finial, the spout, handle and finial picked out in gilt.
