Canvas ground, embroidered with coloured wools in cross and darning stitches. Varied border of floral wavy stems and scrolling pattern. At top: commencing with a cross motif, is upper case alphabet followed by numerals 1 to 10 in four rows. Below: series of detached letters and numerals, the date and motif of the sacred monogram IHS beneath a cross, and three rectangles of surface darning.
