One of the smaller Staffordshire manufacturers who started by producing relatively inexpensive earthenwares before adding porcelains to his output. The basic shapes of Bourne-made porcelains are lifted from Spode forms.)
Plate, bone china, circular with a shaped waved edge, footring; the central reserve is painted with a black headed gull in a landscape, the rim is impressed with 3 flower sprays in between which are painted three designs incorporating an acorn in gold, gilded edge with a gilt bead border.
