Bowl, earthenware, standing on a high tapering foot-rim, bell shaped body with deep curving sides flaring out to an everted rim; transfer-printed in blue with to the interior of the bowl the 'Two temples' pattern, a large pagoda in the foreground surrounded by oriental trees and with two figures on a bridge over a river to one side of it, in the background further oriental buildings and trees on islands in an expanse of water, wide border to the rim of stylized moths, greek key shapes and elaborate scrolls enclosing scale and lattice patterns, the same border to the exterior sides of the bowl.
