Box and cover, bone china; circular and cylindrical with ridges around the base, centre and top; cover painted with an arrangement of fruit and flowers including grapes, apples, pears, and a pink rose, with a birds' nest below containing two eggs, and a bird perched above; base painted in gilt with the monogram 'EG', within a gilt border with three scroll shaped sections enclosing trellis, cross, and circle patterns; gilt sides.
