The Maersk Line, established in 1904, was owned by A. P. Moller of Copenhagen; apart from general tramping, the firm also had a regular service from the Far East to Los Angeles and New York. The Emilie Maersk was one of their smaller tramps (2,202 gross tons) and is seen here in the Queen Alexandra Dock, c.1936.
