Receipt for share certifcate (2012.32/1) issued by Care, Rowland & Co., Cardiff for the Reardon Smith Line Limited. Dated 3 January 1978. Original and carbon copy.

The donor was in a pub in Cardiff with Sir William Reardon Smith in the 1970s. When it came to his round he had no money, ironic as he was a very wealthy man, and so had lots of leg pulling. When he was to repay Inger she insisted on having shares to the value of the round!
