Jug, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a foot rim, pear-shaped body, folded spout, scroll handle, surface moulded with flutes (reed pattern); decorated in polychrome enamels, on each side with a sprig of pansies, two flowerhead (one orange, one yellow) underneath spout, two flowerheads (one blue, one yellow) underneath handle, one blue flowerhead near neck, seven scattered shadowed insects (ladybird, fly, caterpillar etc), gilt decoration to handle, elaborate gilt decoration to spout, gilt border to foot rim and around neck.
