Teapot and cover
Teapot, pearlware with a blue tinge to the glaze, shaped oblong form with gently curving sides, sharp shoulder and raised neck, curving spout moulded with a grooved pattern around the lower part, square-shouldered scroll handle, sliding domed cover with to the top a 'Widow of Zarapheth' finial and a pierced steam hole; relief-moulded with to either side of the body the figure of a chinaman, one with an umbrella, one with a musical instrument, between moulded pillars and decorated in puce, blue, yellow, green, brown and black, a border of stiff green leaves between short yellow and brown poles around the lower body, borders of green conventional foliage and puce dots around the neck and the sides of the cover, painted conventional floral spirgs in blue and green to the body of the teapot to either side of the spout and handle, the 'widow' finial decorated in puce, red and black.
