Casgliadau Arlein

Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and slightly rounded top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'Bears at School' (although this title is not recorded on the lid), showing a rural setting with in the foreground a bear dressed in a coat and holding a cane grasping another bear by the ear, beyond are two bears sitting on stools and studying, in the background another bear watches over the scene, the scene enclosed by a circular line and dot border overpainted with a yellow band, a beige discolouration to the glaze.
