Belt
RWF waist belt buff leather, blanco'd white. Brass general service pattern clasp
Belt of white leather, painted white. A 23cm long section on the proper right side is folded backwards and the brass buckle section is threaded onto the resulting loop. The folded-over section is held in place by a 2cm wide leather belt loop and has an oblong hole at the end (L=2cm). On the proper left side, the belt is also folded back and held in place by machine stitches. The corresponding part of the brass buckle is attached there. An additional section of leather has been stitched to lie underneath the buckle to protect the uniform from rubbing against the metal. The proper right part of the buckle has a rounded section (which inserts into a slot on the left part of the buckle). The rounded section has an embossed image of a crowned lion standing above a crown. The proper left part of the buckle consists of a circle with the inscription of the royal motto 'Dieu et mon droit'. There is an additional brass section which fits around the width of the belt and which moves freely along it. It has a movable prong attached to the rear.
There are hand-written inscriptions on the reverse of the belt using blue pen: the number 11692 is written twice, together with other markings.
