Casgliadau Arlein

Small plate, earthenware, circular shape with inset base, curving sides and spreading rim, the rim moulded with embossed floral sprigs enclosed by foliate swags interspersed with ribbon-tied floral garlands; transfer-printed in blue with to the centre of the well the inscription "MY HEART / IS FIXED / I CANNOT RANGE / I LIKE MY CHOICE / TOO WELL / TO CHANGE", enclosed within a square cartouche formed by a wreath of foliage which has been overpainted in red, yellow and green, the moulded floral sprigs to the rim overpainted in red, yellow, green and brown, a brown edge to the rim.
