Black top hat worn by William Rhys Jones (Gwenith Gwyn).

The top hat is a small size and made from silk plush with a felt hat band. The edge of the brim is bound with black corded silk which is wider at the sides where the brim curls upwards. The underside of the brim is lined with black cotton twill and the forehead band is made from a textured paper. The crown is lined with cream silk satin with watered silk in the top which is stamped with a makers mark.
