Turned iron rushlight and candleholder with tripod base

Manufactured at the smithy at Borth, Cardiganshire. The smithy at Borth was responsible for fine quality tripod holders. Several blacksmiths worked in Borth in the 19th Century, including Hugh Williams born 1838, Lewis Jones born 1821, his father Edward Jones born 1777, John Jones born 1816, John Richards born 1796.
