Irminger, Johann Jakob (Irminger was the Dresden court silversmith and was closely involved with the Meissen porcelain manufactory during the first decade of its existence, responsible for overseeing design. He is listed in the manufactory personnel list of 1710, where his work is defined as 'so die Inventiones und neuen Desseins besorget', and he was almost solely responsible for the design of Böttger stoneware and porcelain. Jar and cover, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a tall foot, ovoid body with domed lid with flat top, foot moulded with twisted flutes, body applied with vines, leaves, fruit and flowers individually painted, some vines gilded, insects and flowers painted onto the body in polychrome colours, lid moulded with three concentric lines, relief vines and painted insects around the sides.
