Lochhead, Gordon (Born Keith, Moray, 1950. Schools: Keith Grammar and Gordonstoun. Graduated from Essex University, 1970, BA Physics; postgraduate in Education Bath University 1973; studies in sculpture Bath Academy of Art, 1972-5.
Established studio-foundry in Wiltshire, 1975; set up in Galashiels, Borders, 1979; Fife 1994.
1993-94 Built new studio and house in Fife ( Self-build project involving extensive redevelopment of old farm buildings ).
1994 Winston Churchill Travelling Fellowship to Japan, 8 weeks studying traditional metalwork.
1996 GB Sasakawa Foundation award funded visit to Japan.
1998 Elected to membership of Japanese Casting-artists Association

CURRENTLY
Living in converted farm steading in Fife, Scotland with psychiatrist wife and two mad Springer Spaniels.
Working on the development of CAD/CAM methods, to make use of the power of modern technology in association with the tradition of casting.
