Early Medieval pottery plate
Rigoir Form 4. Abraided base: Form D2, fragment of a plate or bowl, with trace of pseudo-footring. The interior bears a stamped design, now largely rubbed away and obscured by other scratchews. Enough remains to suggest a cruciform design of stylized fronds, each composed of dot and circle stamps arranged in diminishing order either side of a central line (or single line of rouletting on interior enclosing stamped radial palmette).
