Tankard, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim, indented above, flared rounded base, straight sides narrowing to flared lip, with central ridge; double scroll and coiled disc loop handle extending above lip; decorated with set pattern 164; on bottom half, transfer-printed and filled in enamels with the Mandarin pattern, in the 'famille rose' palette - a village scene of a seated mandarin and others in front of an oriental house; below lip, a gilt scrolled border with small cartouches of landscapes in iron red alternating with larger cartouches of birds perched on branches, against a blue sky and above purple trees, with a gilt c-scroll border below; gilt band to foot rim, central ridge, lip, and handle.
