Casgliadau Arlein

Dessert dish, oval, hard-paste porcelain, greyish paste, good clear translucency, glazed pitted on the underside, standing on a shallow foot rim, flat well, curving rim, notched at the ends and centre; the well painted with six pink roses on gilt moss around a central gilt rosette and within an elaborate gilt ground of scrolls and diaper and seeded panels, the rim panelled grey with an horizontal gilt foliage pattern, interspersed with six oval black medallions each painted with a standing bird in yellow and brown.
