Circular bronze medal in a red case which closes via two brass swing clasps; the face of the medal depicts the Menton coat of arms, comprising the figure of Mercury, three stars, the letter 'F' beneath a star and a lemon tree, encircling the coat of arms are a lemon branch and an olive branch, above the coat of arms is a stylised castle in a semi-circular configuration, the reverse side depicts a large building, possibly Menton Town Hall, the case interior base is lined with red velvet and the interior lid lined with a light red synthetic fabric in imitation of watered silk.
