Teapot and cover
Teapot, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, globular body, short cylindrical neck, plain curving spout, plain loop handle, rounded domed cover with flat collar-like rim, a nipple-shaped finial to the top of the cover, a pierced steam-hole to one side of the cover; painted in polychrome enamels with to either side of the exterior body of the teapot a Chinoiserie-style scene showing three figures in a garden setting, one seated on a bench and two standing, in the background a fence and the outline of the building with a high window, a scaled down version of the same scene to the top of the cover with only two figure and no building, border around the shoulder of the teapot and the rim of the cover of a trefoil and loop pattern in red, a sprig of flowers to the base of the spout, a pattern of petals in red radiates out from the lip of the spout, a very worn design of red scrolls to the handle, to the top of the finial a pattern of red petals radiating out from the centre. The lower body of the teapot cracked.
