To either side, a shield: quarterly, FRANCE (Modern) and ENGLAND, encircled with the Garter bearing its motto, and ensigned by a royal crown. Near the tag of the Garter, a fleur-de-lis. Around the whole, a broad border of roses and fleurs-de-lis alternately. In the legend N and S are reversed, with small fleurs-de-lis as stops.
