four small fragments of rush - woven wall hangings believed to date prior to circa 1640; the hangings were once attached to wall by smith - made nails driven through cleft oak battens with square leather washers; they were discovered at Upper Dolley house above the plastered ceiling (dated c.1640), in the solar wing
