Cup, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, rounded sides, loop handle with foliate moulding at the terminals; the exterior body covered with a deep underglaze blue ground against which is reserved to the front of the body an oval panel left white and painted with two birds in gilt, the panel enclosed by a border of gilt flowers and foliage, a gilt line around the foot-rim, a gilt dentil edge to the lip-rim, the handle picked out in gilt. Saucer, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a short cylindrical foot-rim, curving sides; the interior covered with a deep underglaze blue ground against which is reserved to the centre of the well a round panel left white and painted with two birds in gilt, the panel enclosed by a border of gilt flowers and foliage, a gilt dentil edge to the rim. The saucer broken and repaired.
