Casgliadau Arlein

Linen ground embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. Border of wavy line with strawberries. Three compartments, each underlined by elaborate wavy line and leaf motifs. In first compartment: Row of three large flowering plant motifs,with lion at either side and three fleur de lis above (unfinished). In second: Short verse with maker's inscription and date. In third: blank unfinished area with broad zigzag line below.
