Plate, pearlware, flat base, curving sides and spreading rim, eight notches and lobes to the rim; painted in underglaze blue with to the centre of the well a chinoiserie-style scene of an oriental building with a fence in front, trees to either side and v-shaped flocks of birds flying above, border to the rim of overlapping semicircles clustered around the notches to the outer rim and issuing spreading leaves, a blue band to the outer rim.
