Early Medieval bone comb
Reconstructed ribs and teeth of a double sided comb. Originally held together by 3 equally spaced iron rivets. The central ribs have a truncated wedge section, with a marked splay at either end. The spayed ends are decorated with 3 dot and circle motifs in a triangular formation, while the central portion has 2 rows of 3 dot and circle motifs, each set of motifs are separated by a rivet. Many teeth have been re-attached with a further 15 fragments surviving.
