The Annunciation: within an ornate pillared niche, the archangel Gabriel salutes the Blessed Virgin Mary (who stands dexter with upraised hands), holding a scroll inscribed : Ave Mari(a) (Bl.), the verse being continued on the border with the legend : gracia plena tecum (ren.) (st.Luke 1/28), though only the bases of the letters remain, the rest having worn away.
