Early Medieval whetstone
Whetstone of sub-rectangular shape in plan and cross-section . It is broken at one end, with the complete end slightly angled and widening slightly. All four surfaces are smooth and burnished and display very slight sharpening marks. The stone is split into 2 colours horizontally with one half a pale grey colour and the other a pale purple-pink.
