Hand lamp used by a Police Officer from the Monmouthshire Constabulary, mid 20th century. Battery operated. Black painted metal. Green and red filter used to to direct traffic at night.2 folding handles and chrome belt clip on back. Glass lens built into hinged section at front. Manufacurer's plate below lens with inscription: FORSTER EQUIPMENT CO. LTD TRAFFIC Guardian LAMP WHETSTONE, LEICS. Top and bottom of metal case missing .
