Jug, earthenware, standing on a narrow rounded spreading foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout most of which has broken off, wish-bone handle moulded with several raised rings around it; transfer-printed in brown and in-filled in red, yellow, brown and green enamels with around the exterior body of the jug a hunting scene showing a male figure with a gun and dogs in a rural landscape with trees and bushes, around the exterior and interior neck a border of flowers and foliage, a chevron pattern with stylized leaves to the handle, the transfer-printed areas protected by a resist and the exterior of the jug and the interior neck covered with silver lustre, a blue edge to the lip-rim and spout.
