Early Medieval pottery cooking pot
Fragment from the body of a wide-mouthed, round-bodied cooking-pot: Form E1. The rim is everted and the internal bevel is slightly channeled. The change of angle between neck and body is very slight. Very hard buff fabric with much quartz grit and a little grog. The upper exterior has a thin buff wash marked by fine horizontal striations or wiping.
