Swatch of tweed
Swatches of tweed placed beside one another (overlapping); held together and attached to white card top with 4 staples (plus one additional staple that doesn't extend through the card). Behind the small swatches is one large swatch which extends across the full width and is nearly twice as long as the small ones. The fabric and colour of the large piece is the same as the dark grey swatch numbered 737 (6th from right).
The card top consists of a thin white piece of card that is folded in half, with the swatches held in-between. The front of the card is printed in black (manufacturer's information etc). Two small holes have been punched through the upper centre of the card through which a white cotton cord has been drawn for the purpose of hanging the swatches
Small self-adhesive paper labels are attached to the lower left front of each swatch (stating its number, hand-written in blue biro). Since the adhesive of many of these labels has started to fail, 4 of these have been attached to the fabric with a pin, while on others, they are loose and one swatch has lost its label altogether.
The large fabric at the back has a manufacturer's label pinned to it. (Cambrian Factory Ltd.)
