Early Medieval pottery amphora
Sherd ornamented with widely spaced shallow grooves, in a fabric which has a pink-buff core and greyish-buff surface; the paste contains abundant colourless grains, perhaps of quartz. The fabric is closer to that of No. 6 (Biii) than to Class Bii, and the five sherds (all probably from one vessel) of which this is representative and therefore tabulated.
