Candlestick, chamber
Chamber candlestick, tin-plate, standing on an oblong tray with curving sides and a gothic outline to the rim, a vertical curved handle to one side of the tray, the lower part of the candle shaft in the form of two separate columns, one of which contains a lever fdevice, above the columns a disc-shaped bulge and a short cylindrical shaft, the sconce of the candle is surrounded by a wide wax-pan with gothic outline, to one side of the candlestick is attached a solid cone to hold the extinguisher; covered all over with a black japan and decorated with an all-over crimson stormont pattern. Extinguisher, tin-plate, of hollow conical form with ball finial to the top and ring handle to one side; covered with a black japan and decorated with an all-over crimson stormont pattern. The extinguisher fits onto the cone to one side of the candlestick. Snuffers, iron-plate, of scissors form; covered with a black japan and decorated with an all-over stormont pattern. The snuffers rest on the tray of the candlestick.
