Casgliadau Arlein

Tall hat, sloping crown, very wide at base, covered with black beaver silk, brim edged with ribbed silk. Crown lined with black cotton sateen, top of crown lining missing; inner band lining of black cotton with decorative machine quilting, lined with turquoise felt; fine woven tape drawstring. Ribbed silk hat band trimmed with tassel and 'jet' beads.
