Cup, two-handled
Cup, earthenware, standing on a spreading rounded waisted foot-rim, bulbous body flaring out to the mouth, to either side of the body twin loop handles with foliate moulding to the upper and lower terminals; transfer-printed in blue with to the exterior sides two Chinese-style scenes, one showing a large oriental building with a raised walkway leading up to it, the other showing two Chinese-style figures standing besides a pagoda-like building with a spreading oriental tree, elements of the scenes printed on the handles, border to the interior lip-rim of panels with small buildings and fences, and with floral sprigs, on a blue diaper and lattice-work ground, a brownish edge to the lip-rim. The foot-rim chipped.
