Correspondence [1974] - Ref: Camomile Back, Stepaside, Saundersfoot, Pembs, '... one of the oldest cottages in South Pembrokeshire, and is said to have been visited by Oliver Cromwell in May 1648 when he ordered his troops to "step aside" from the line of the march (so providing the name of Stepaside) and take refreshments and rest at Camomile Back Inn. Camomile being an aromatic creeping herb with a white flower and used for medicinal purposes'.
